OPS serves North Carolina residents ages 5 and older experiencing mental health issues and illnesses. Services are age and gender appropriate, culturally competent, and attend to trauma and other factors that impact recovery. We practice Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) ROSC services should be provided within the person’s own community, using natural supports whenever possible. ROSC is marked by a high degree of accessibility and effectiveness in engaging and retaining persons in care so they can achieve the highest degree of stability and sustain recovery. The overarching goal of a ROSC is to assist a person to achieve mastery over recovery and gain a meaningful sense of membership in the community.
The delivery system applies recovery principles to a full range of engagement, intervention, treatment, rehabilitative, and supportive services, including health promotion and prevention services for those at risk of substance use disorders.
Professionals at OPS work with clients to identify treatment goals and helps develop strategies reduce symptoms, manage stress and improve their functioning at their highest levels. Services include education, individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, medication management referral, and continuing care services. All Therapist at Affinity are licensed by the State of North Carolina.
